PRINCETON, N.J. Voxware, Inc. (NASDAQ OTC: VOXW - news), a leading speech recognition company providing natural language-based solutions for industrial applications with a focus on supply chain execution, announced today the completion of the second VoiceLogistics(TM) deployment for Corporate Express at the company's distribution center in Aurora, Colorado.
Initial deliveries to the 175,000 square foot Aurora facility, located near the Corporate Express North American headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, were made just 23 days after the August 16th decision to move forward with VoiceLogistics for the Colorado facility. Corporate Express has been evaluating the new SUN Solaris-based VoiceLogistics release with the new applications since its installation, and is prepared to begin rolling out a standard SUN Solaris-based VoiceLogistics solution to other sites as they move forward.
"VoiceLogistics helps us increase production and throughput and decrease picking errors," said Tim Beauchamp, Vice President of North American Operations for Corporate Express. "We've found that new users can get up to speed quickly, and employees enjoy the paperless aspect of the application because it allows them to have both hands free." Like the Detroit facility, Voxware's VoiceLogistics solution will be integrated with Corporate Express' SUN-based Warehouse Management System in Aurora to provide a multi-functional, multi-modal speech-based supply chain interface solution for their business-to-business fulfillment operations.
Voxware has deployed their recently released UNIX version of VoiceLogistics into the Aurora site, with applications to support single-carton, tote, and cluster picking operations as in the Detroit facility. In addition, Voxware has also delivered an "expert mode" that provides productivity increases that scale as VoiceLogistics users become more experienced with the system. A multiple-order tote function that enhances the virtual tote capability introduced in Detroit has also been delivered to Aurora along with VoxView(TM), Voxware's web-based management facility and additional features to support high-speed flow rack operations. Voxware is also working with Corporate Express on using VoiceLogistics with other warehouse applications that incorporate the use of a scanner with their VoiceLogistics-310 wireless client unit.
"We are eager to move forward with the next Corporate Express deployments," said Ken Finkel, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Voxware. "I think we've exceeded their expectations about the value VoiceLogistics can deliver to their operations, and now we are ready for them to challenge us again with helping them do even more with our speech-based solution. Corporate Express has been an exceptional customer, and one we look forward to working with as we address an enterprise solution for them," added Finkel.
Voxware and Corporate Express are currently in discussions to negotiate an enterprise-wide deployment of Voxware's VoiceLogistics solution throughout Corporate Express' more than 42 office products distribution centers in North America. Corporate Express has also identified the next few facilities for installation of speech-based systems they expect to announce in the coming months.
Voxware's VoiceLogistics is their wireless, web-based interactive speech interface solution for the supply chain. VoiceLogistics enhances speed, accuracy and productivity of logistics and fulfillment operations, and seamlessly integrates with the WMS and IT systems of virtually any distribution and logistics operation. The VoiceLogistics system includes the VoiceLogistics wireless RF client, Voxware's patented noise-robust VISE(TM) speech recognizer designed specifically for high performance in industrial environments, VoxBrowser(TM), their VoiceXML browser, the VoxServer(TM) VXML application server, and VoxXchange(TM) integration technology, the VoiceLogistics suite of VoiceXML applications for logistics and fulfillment operations, and Voxware's professional services for installation, integration and implementation.
